Our signature monthly programs are designed to provide consistent, progressive education that builds confidence and expertise over time. Choose between two specialised tracks: Start.Me.Up for emerging stylists and Contemporary.Refined for experienced professionals looking to expand their creative capabilities.

  • Monthly programs are scheduled in set locations. INDIVIDUALITY.Your.Program is conducted in your salon space.

  • All necessary materials including mannequin heads, workbooks, and tools listed in the course inclusions.

START.ME.UP

START.ME.UP cutting program runs monthly from February to November. It combines both theory and practical instruction and will include:

  • Learning to draw the relevant sections.

  • Discussion and explanation of sections.

  • Demonstration of sectioning techniques prior to stylists’ practical commencement.

Course Details

COURSE OUTLINE

Throughout this program you will work on classic haircuts that you can bring directly to the salon floor. We encourage you to go over the haircut and techniques you have worked on a minimum of one week before your next class. 

On the first day we will also work through correct combing and sectioning, what side of the comb to use and why, hand and body position, how to hold your scissors, briefing on the three shapes and the three techniques commonly used and what they will achieve.

Each day will focus on a classic haircut. You will be guided in building your confidence in cutting and working with correct sectioning patterns. Throughout this salon course you will learn when to use certain shapes and techniques and most importantly understand the reason why. The course is structured in this manner to nurture your awareness of client suitability and how to create the perfect hair cut for your clients. This will give you powerful knowledge to kick start your career.

 

DELIVERY

We have established that a class maximum of 10 stylists works best. This allows us to incorporate an individual training experience with an inclusive shared experience. A place where artistic flair is allowed, expression is practiced with newly acquired knowledge in a relaxed, creative and professional environment.

 

EXPERIENCE LEVEL

START.ME.UP is a monthly cutting program tailored to 1st – 3rd year apprentices wanting an understanding of the importance to get on the right track early in their career or the new senior stylist wanting to gain more confidence as they make their way to the salon floor.

CONTEMPORARY.refined cutting program runs monthly from February to November. It combines both theory and practical instruction and will include:

Course Details

COURSE OUTLINE

In this course you will work with like-minded hairdressers, learn ten new haircut designs and why to use disconnection techniques in your haircut to create a precise look. This hairdressing course will also teach you to work with advanced sectioning patterns that you can implement in your work the following day.

Each month will focus on a specific haircut while utilising correct sectioning patterns that will also give you an understanding on how you can apply these sectioning patterns to create your very own unique designs.

Gain an understanding on when to use certain shapes and techniques and most importantly why. Learning in this manner will give you the answers to gaining awareness of client suitability and how to create the perfect haircut for your clients.

On full course completion you leave having with a greater command and understanding of some contemporary techniques and haircuts. This hair training course will also teach you how and why you can utilize and implement these techniques in your own hair cut designs on the salon floor and in real time.
